"Carri's expertise, sensitivity, and positive spirit brought more than organization to our home - it brought a sense of control and peace of mind. Priceless! She assessed our needs, listened to our input, designed and implemented a plan, then overcame the obstacles; so together we achieved our goals. Perhaps most importantly, she put a clear and manageable maintenance system into place so that we can so we can keep our home functional, safe, and looking good for our family and friends. We can’t recommend Carri highly enough!" -the N. Family
"Overcoming my lifelong passion for procrastinating, Carri not only got me moving on well overdue projects, but got me to finish all of them - quickly and painlessly!" -D.K.
I could have NEVER ever made it without you. I will never forget the 26 Christmas boxes. I was good. I think I kept 6 or 7. As for me, I was desperate to get rid of as much as I could! My favorite thing was the dumpster (one of your genious idea!). The second dumpster was so full I still wonder how they could move it without spreading the content all over the place. I will never forget either that you told me it was better me to do that than my daughter...by herself... The feeling of freedom is extraordinary. The less you have the more you are. That's the way I feel. In the non-ending process of unpacking here (but ongoing every day) I have NO MERCY. Nope. C.P.
Hello Carri & Kendall, Did you hear the news? I've been shouting it from the roof tops. Not really. But I did accept an offer on my house yesterday. It's really happening. I am moving to Erie PA to live with my husband! I am so happy with the work you did with me. And the house sold in 13 days!!!! Thanks! Peace & Joy! A.L.
Carri the Filing Fairy's name hardly speaks to the level and quality of work this small business provides. I have found them to be instrumental in making a complicated move uncomplicated and super efficient. And at an attractive price. They do it all. M.K. Realtor
To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to recommend Carri the Filing Fairy in the highest possible terms. Our family is eternally grateful that we found Carri at a difficult moment in our lives. Carri came to the rescue when my father passed away suddenly, and my wife and I had to confront the job of sorting through the contents of his house, including a significant number of collectables and personal papers. It was a particularly challenging task because we live several hours away and have busy lives with jobs and kids. We were overwhelmed, but with her cheerful and confident attitude, Carri made it all seem doable. I don't know how to begin to describe all the ways that Carri and her excellent team helped us. They did it all! No task was too big or too small, no pile of paperwork too high. They sorted collectables from donations and recyclables, and made sure all of the donated items went to places where they would be truly useful. With remarkable efficiency, Carri herself went page by page through towers of paperwork and files dating back dozens of years to find important financial records and personal documents; she then created a filing system so that we could find what we needed to process the estate. The team also ran numerous errands on our behalf, everything from gathering cleaning and packing supplies to returning the cable box. Carri and her team worked seamlessly with others involved in the project, including antiques dealers and repairmen, as well as relatives and friends who volunteered their help. Above all, she always listened to feedback and gamely adapted to the needs of a complex, ever-evolving project. Much of the time, Carri and team worked independently, keeping us up to date with their progress via photos, texts for quick questions, and a thorough weekly email update. Carri always kept us in the loop, but also used her excellent judgement to handle many small decisions and problems as they arose. We came to trust her entirely, and it was a huge weight off our shoulders to know that the house and its contents were in such good hands. She saw this project through until the end helping to oversee the final move out, and broom-sweeping the house before the new owner came for the final walk-through. With her help, we completed the project months earlier than we originally expected. More than anything, we are so grateful for the way that Carri took care not only of our belongings but also of us. Show sa thoughtful sounding-board, an encouraging coach, and a problem-solver extraordinaire. She laughed with us, made sure we stopped for lunch, and was patient and sympathetic to our emotional needs. We could not have done it without her. Thank you Carri! -S.M.
Our story starts with the passing of my father early this year. My wife and I were left with a mid-sized home filled with the artifacts of a family’s life, 42-plus years’ worth. Let me emphasize the word “filled” – we spent the first 5 days in just one room trying to find important papers, documents, and even Dad’s wallet. By the end of that month, we were physically and emotionally exhausted by the enormity of the cleanup, coupled with 5 hours of daily round-trip driving. The toll was so great so that we fell ill for nearly two weeks. Enter our heroine, Carri. Our realtor (another hero of our story, but that will wait for another testimonial), recognized our desperate straits and recommended we talk to Carri. We sat with Carri in Dad’s living room for our first meeting, surrounded by many more rooms that needed to be organized, sorted, removed, recycled, etc. My apologies for the melodrama, but the stage needs to be set for you to properly appreciate how much Carri, and her colleague Carolyn, meant to us beyond the rendering of personal-organization services. Over the next six weeks, Carri and her team helped us remove nearly 4 75-gallon barrels of personal and financial documents for shredding, 1.5 18-cubic-yard-truck loads of old and obsolete items, sell 400-plus books, and donate plenty of clothing, kitchenware, electronics, and other items. Her diligent sorting of papers even turned up envelopes of forgotten ATM cash withdrawals! She also helped connect us to other people to handle the variety of questions and issues that arise, like the valuation of potential collectible items, plus the afore-mentioned selling of used books and LP vinyl records, and the provider of the document-shredding. The statistics alone might be impressive, but knowing that progress was being made, even if we could not be at the house, provided us great assurance. The ultimate fringe-benefit was Carri’s spirit, and her ability to motivate us and keep us going through those six long weeks of emptying the old family home. I’m sure this was not always an easy job for her either – she tackled a few tasks for us that we dreaded, and came through smiling, regardless. To sum it up, whether your task is small or large, emotionally heavy or not, we strongly/highly/over-whelmingly recommend Carri and company. In fact, she should change her business name from the “Filing Fairy” to the “Filing Angel.” -- A. & B. G.
"I am writing this with a pen that was easily within my reach and on a card that I was able to find an envelope for within seconds thanks to you! I really appreciate it" G.L. Author
"I thought you’d appreciate a little update, especially since it’s good news.................................. Mom is settled in down in Florida and I was just there this weekend to help her finish organizing some things. As I was leaving today, it felt like the home I grew up in. Thanks again for all your help." D.M. - a client from out of state, who had us help her mother prepare for an out of state move. Many very specific quotes are left out.
Carri is patient, understanding, and a wonderful ally in the battle against clutter. My mother, a previously well-organized woman who had always loved having a beautiful home, faced problems with STUFF in the years following a house fire as she sought to replace (physically and emotionally) all the things she had lost. Things had taken over every spare room and available surface by the time I called Carri for help. Carri was gentle, respectful, and full of positive encouragement as she worked with my mother to part with unneeded items and to sort through boxes of old documents. Years later, when Carri saw something on tv that reminded her of my mother, Carri reached out to see how she was doing. I was happy to report that Carri's lessons had stayed with my mother and that her house was the prettiest it had been since my childhood. Carri is a perfect choice for organization help.
D.M. - a couple of years later, stating that the change has lasted!
